Pictures of Blue Angels

We saw the Blue Angels as part of Fleet Week San Francisco 2002. The Blue Angels are pretty regular performers at this event. Some folks don't like the noise, but most folks really enjoy their visits. These are all scans of prints. I shot these with a polarizer, so depending on the angle the sky ends up more or less blue even if the planes look the same.

I don't have a huge amount to say, but here are a few pictures with a couple of comments.

I think this is where baby Blue Angels come from.


It's just amazing that they fly as close as they do without incident.
